What you can expect during our visit:

A thorough inspection performed.
A thorough inspection performed. (Please note: many homes are different.  Therefore some items listed may not be applicable or necessary.)
  1. Introduction: Our Expert will introduce himself, and then a brief Q & A discussion to address any of your questions and concerns you may have.
  2. Inspection: The Dryer Vent Cleaning Experts will be inspecting the following where applicable:
  • Dryer will be turned on and ran on heat cycle to verify unit is working and for any abnormal sounds.
  • Lint trap filter.
  • Lint trap cavity.
  • Dryer door seal.
  • Connectors and fasteners.
  • Flexible transition pipe.
  • Gas line (if applicable).
  • The entire vent piping from beginning-to-end where accessible and visible (does not include attic or crawl space).
  • Roof vent cap or exterior wall vent hood (whichever applies).
  • Pictures may be taken for ease of sharing with you if any areas of concern are discovered.

*Standard duct tape should never be used to make any type of connection.  (fire hazard).  Metal foil tape should be used instead.

*Screws should never be used to fasten any connections.  It is against building code.

  1.   Cleaning (removal as of lint and debris as best as possible-not small particles of dust):  We will “clean” to industry standards or higher the following when applicable:
  • Lint trap filter.webchecklist
  • Lint trap cavity brush and vacuum removing lint as best as possible.
  • Dryer vent ducting from beginning-to-end.
  • Transition pipe from dryer to the wall.
  • Roof vent cap or exterior wall hood.
  • Any screening or louvers involved.
  • Removal of any nests (rodents, wasps, birds) within the pipe or hoods. *Additional fee may apply.

The Dryer Vent Cleaning Experts process is virtually dust-free.  WE DO IT RIGHT!  We put your entire vent pipe system down on a high-powered negative vacuum.  This ensures your home will be cleaner, not dirtier when we are finished.

We also use a lint collecting bag when needed on the exterior while cleaning the hoods, thus leaving no lint on your roof, in your gutters, or on your yard.  Beware of others who use compressed air or a leaf blower and try to blow the lint out.

CAUTION:  Beware of other companies who will brush the lint right into your laundry room and then vacuum it up.  Without any doubt, this will make a dusty mess in the air and in your home.  Additionally, others companies will use a blower and blow all the lint out on your roof.  As a matter of fact, there is another local company who even has pictures of them doing both of these mentioned on their own website.                                                                                                                                                                           webbeforeandafter

  1. MODIFICATIONS, REPAIRS, AND UPGRADED MATERIALS Unfortunately, it is very common for dryers to have improper connections, damage materials, or subpar transition duct (flexible duct from the dryer to the wall cavity) material (plastic, vinyl, or polyester/foil “Slinky” type material).
